A Film Development and Production Company

Big Star Films, LLC is a film production company formed to write, develop, and execute projects for the big screen, television, web, and mobile platforms.

Big Star Films has completed the first episode of a series entitled ‘Down To The Crossroads’ which is hosted by Morgan Freeman. The concept pairs a modern rock star with a blues legend and espouses the impact the blues legend had on the modern rock star’s career.

The pilot episode features George Thorogood and the Destroyers with Eddie Shaw (sax player and arranger for legendary Muddy Waters and Howlin’ Wolf) and is ready for broadcast. Two additional episodes have been filmed in their entirety, and await final post-production. Other projects are currently in various stages of development and completion.

Big Star Films have an agreement in perpetuity with Morgan Freeman for the use of his likeness and image in the exploitation of these properties.

Big Star Films owns its own full-scale recording, production, and soundstage facilities on site in Clarksdale, MS.

Big Star Records and Big Star Films have secured a distribution deal for its current and future projects.
